In March 2017, Nike invited a group of eight young 'Imaginairs' to their headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon to collaborate on the design of grade school sized Air Max Zero colorways. One of these exclusive colorways was created by the famous Musical.ly personality, Mark Thomas. This particular colorway boasts a visually striking combination of black and gold on its Flyknit upper, enhanced further by intricate gold and black overlays featuring a distinctive paint dripping pattern. The sneaker is complemented by a clean white midsole and a gold Air Max unit, while the white rubber outsole adds a final touch of style. Following its release in January 2018, this unique colorway was accompanied by a collection of grade school sized Air Max Zero designs by other talented individuals including Sam Gordon, Lincoln Markham, Annie LeBlanc, Sulivan Gwed, Kaycee Rice, Mademoiselle Garcia, and Wang Junkai.
