The Kith x Air Pippen 1 'Chimera', created by Kith founder Ronnie Fieg, is a high-end iteration of basketball star Scottie Pippen's original signature shoe. Taking inspiration from the mythical creature known as the Chimera, which boasted the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a serpent, this particular colorway represents Pippen's ability to adapt on the court, much like the creature's ability to shape-shift. The sneaker features a faux pony hair upper adorned with a combination of animal prints such as leopard, zebra, tiger, and lion, complemented by a black tongue, black leather heel tabs, and unique Pippen and Kith branding. Additionally, an embroidered black swoosh can be found on the toe box. The shoe is accompanied by a white sole equipped with a translucent Swoosh and a 360-degree Air-Sole unit. Originally released exclusively through Kith in October 2017, the model was also made available in a second colorway, boasting a black faux pony hair upper with a striking red visible Air Unit.
