The Parley x Women's UltraBoost 'Deep Ocean Blue' collaboration was launched in 2018 as a component of adidas' 'Run for the Oceans' initiative. This innovative shoe collection incorporates plastic bottles collected from coastal communities and beaches into its construction. Inspired by the Mariana Trench, known for being the deepest part of the sea, the shoe sports a near-black colorway. Notably, the Primeknit upper, which constitutes 85% of the shoe, is made from recycled Parley Ocean Plastic, equivalent to the use of eleven plastic bottles.
