In May 2019, Vans collaborated with renowned New York skate and apparel brand, Supreme, to introduce a collection of six sneakers. This exclusive collection featured a modern interpretation of two iconic Vans styles from the late 70s, namely the Slip-On and Sk8-Hi models. Inspired by industrial steel plating designed to enhance traction, these sneakers showcased a unique pattern. In particular, the Supreme x Classic Slip-On Pro 'Diamond Plate Yellow' model boasted a low-cut canvas upper with prominent 'Supreme' branding on the side. Additionally, this shoe sported a traditional vulcanized sole with a rubber Waffle tread, delivering a distinctive and timeless feel.
