In an unexpected move, adidas joined forces with Bristol Studios and enlisted The Shoe Surgeon to create the limited-edition Crazy Boost You Wear silhouette in 2018. Originally not intended for widespread release, this collaboration showcased a sculptural design approach that set it apart from other sneakers in the market. The standout feature of this three-piece collection, which includes the 'Muslin' version, is the remarkable 3D texture found on the quarter and medial side of each shoe. Pushing the boundaries of creativity, the designers incorporated unconventional materials like aluminum, cardboard, plastic, and suede to add an artistic touch to the composition of the sneakers.
