The Zoom VaporFly Elite FlyPrint was custom-made for Eliud Kipchoge, a long-distance runner, to be worn during the 2018 London Marathon. It utilizes the same technology as the VaporFly Elite shoe but enhances the Flyknit upper with a groundbreaking 3D-printed 'FlyPrint' design. This innovative construction prioritizes breathability and waterproofing, ensuring that the shoe remains lightweight even in rainy conditions. The color scheme of the shoe draws inspiration from Kipchoge's training environment in Kenya, featuring hues resembling the clay track, green grass, and the iridescent shimmer of beetle shells. To make the shoe exclusive, only a limited number were made available for purchase via the Nike App in London during the marathon.
