The HTM is a collaborative design project involving Hiroshi Fujiwara, the founder of Fragment Design, Tinker Hatfield, an iconic Nike designer, and Mark Parker, the President and CEO of Nike. The Kobe 9 Premium HTM introduced Flyknit technology to the low-top version of the Kobe 9 for the first time, combining it with internal Lunarlon cushioning and dynamic Flywire supports. This design also features reflective flecked laces, anodized HTM aglets, embossed snake scales, and a signature HTM logo. Initially launched exclusively at Nike Stadium Milano and Excelsior in Milan in April 2014, it had a limited release at NikeLab in New York in July 2014.
