In March 2017, Nike introduced a group of young 'Imaginairs' to their headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. Their mission was to collaborate on designing Air Max Zero colorways specifically for grade school sizes. Among the participants was Lincoln Markham, who is well-known as the host of the popular YouTube channel 'What's Inside?'. This channel explores the inner workings of various objects, including sports equipment and balls. Markham's design for the Air Max Zero colorway consisted of a metallic silver upper adorned with Aurora accents, a white Swoosh, and green laces. The sneaker also featured an Aurora midsole, a white Air Max unit, and a black rubber outsole. Come January 2018, Nike released this unique sneaker alongside other grade school sized Air Max Zero colorways designed by a talented group of individuals, including Sam Gordon, Annie LeBlanc, Mark Thomas, Sulivan Gwed, Kaycee Rice, Mademoiselle Garcia, and Wang Junkai.
