This 997S model, released in May 2019, is one of two signature sneakers created by New Balance in collaboration with Kawhi Leonard from the Toronto Raptors. With Kawhi's 997S model, the classic and technologically advanced silhouette from the 90s is taken to the next level through the use of high-quality materials and an interesting color scheme. The upper of the shoe combines black mesh with glossy, croc-embossed leather, highlighted by accents in blue and metallic gold. Underneath, the sneaker is supported by ENCAP Reveal cushioning, accompanied by an icy blue tread.
