The Air Jordan 7 Retro GS ‘Doernbecher’ was introduced in 2016 as part of the collaboration between Nike designers and patients at Oregon’s Doernbecher children’s hospital. This particular shoe was designed by Damien Phillips, a 10-year-old Hemophilia A patient who has a passion for music, which inspired the guitar pick-shaped elements incorporated into the design. The black and red colorway of the shoe represents his love for the Chicago Bulls basketball team. A distinctive feature of this shoe is the illustrated graphic, found beneath the translucent outsole, which combines both Damien's love for music and his admiration for the Bulls.
