The Air Jordan 6 'Olympics' made their debut during the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney when NBA-stars Ray Allen and Vin Baker, representing Team USA, sported them on their way to winning the gold medal. Although initially exclusive to the athletes, these iconic sneakers were later released to the public in September 2000. In 2012, a retro version of the Air Jordan 6 'Olympics' was launched to commemorate the London Olympic Games. While the 2012 edition of these sneakers features a navy midsole instead of the original white, it still maintains the classic elements such as the icy blue translucent outsole and the iconic Air Jumpman branding.
