To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Gel Lyte 3 sneaker, Boston-based retailer Concepts collaborated with ASICS to create a special edition called the 'Boston Tea Party'. The design of this shoe draws inspiration from the historical political protest that played a significant role in the American Revolution. The upper of the sneaker is crafted with premium suede in a vibrant red, white, and blue color scheme, complemented by metallic gold and metallic silver Tiger stripes branding on the side panels. Concepts' Creative Director, Deon Point, presented a preview of the shoe at the Agenda Show in Long Beach, California, prior to its official release in May 2015.
