In August 2019, The Next Door and adidas Consortium joined forces to pay tribute to Avignon, the hometown of the renowned French retailer, and its vibrant theatre culture. As part of a special collaboration, the A.R. Trainer was created to embody the essence of Comedie, one of the key theatrical archetypes. The shoe features a mixed-material upper, drawing inspiration from the timeless harlequin costumes with its vibrant Three-Stripes and panels. Adding a touch of theatrical whimsy, the iconic laughing mask is beautifully imprinted on the heel tab. To add a modern update, the A.R. Trainer boasts a signature rubber cupsole with a striking 'Mint Green' tread.
