The 2014 Stefan Janoski Max DB ‘Doernbecher’ was designed by Chase Crouch, a young brain tumor survivor at the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s hospital in Portland. This sneaker showcases a colorway inspired by Chase’s favorite dinosaur toy, which provided him solace during his recovery. Its fuzzy teal upper is complemented by metallic gold elements such as the Swoosh, laces, and piping, with Obsidian accents found on the tongue and collar. Notable features of the shoe include a C7 logo on the tongue, representing Chase’s age when he created the design, Obsidian speckles on the midsole, and a red visible Air Max unit in the heel.
