The Nike Classic Cortez Leather is a modernized version of the original Cortez, which was created by Bill Bowerman in 1972 and marked one of the earliest Nikes to showcase the recognizable Swoosh logo. In this updated design, the upper material of the Cortez is crafted using a combination of leather and synthetic leather in a clean white color, complemented by a black Swoosh on the side for a distinct look. The addition of a lace dubrae further enhances the overall detailing. While the heel has been slightly widened and elevated from the original model, the outsole maintains its classic herringbone pattern.
