The Kenny Moore x Classic Cortez Nylon QS is a special edition shoe that honors Kenny Moore, an early Nike product tester. Moore had the privilege of being coached by Bill Bowerman, one of Nike's co-founders, during their time at the University of Oregon. Moore's unfortunate experience with a stress fracture in his foot while wearing a shoe meant for high-jump inspired Bowerman to develop a running shoe, eventually leading to the creation of the iconic Nike Cortez. Released in August 2017, the Kenny Moore x Classic Cortez Nylon QS presents a striking design with its Tour Yellow nylon upper accompanied by tonal suede overlays. Adding a pop of color, Chlorine Blue leather is used for the Swoosh and heel patch, while a Sail outsole completes the look.
