In commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Nike introduced the Air Pegasus 89 ‘German Reunification’ in 2015. Designed with a canvas upper, this sneaker showcases a unique combination of camouflage patterns inspired by the West German Army (Bundeswehr) and East German Army (NVA). Emphasizing the significance of the occasion, the insoles and laces bear distinctive 1990 and 2015 branding, while the insoles themselves display a mesmerizing print of Berlin’s iconic Bradenburg Gate, illuminated by a captivating array of fireworks.
