In 1998, Nike designer Sean McDowell, who had just recently joined the company, was approached by Foot Locker to collaborate on the creation of a new shoe called the Air Max Plus, also known as 'Sky Air' at the time. McDowell, without any preconceived design template, made an unintentional modification to the dimensions of the iconic Nike Swoosh logo, resulting in the Air Max Plus becoming a revered 'Nike classic.' Fast forward to March 2019, and we have the updated Air Max Plus 'La Requin Black' edition, featuring a sleek black-on-black colorway.
