In honor of Ken Griffey Jr.'s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016, Nike brought back the classic 'Freshwater' edition of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1. Taking cues from the Seattle Mariners' team colors, the shoe showcases a vibrant Fresh Water hue on the upper, complemented by black nubuck overlays and a white Swoosh. Additional design elements include Griffey's iconic number 24 showcased on the ankle strap, as well as Varsity Red accents on the tongue tab, heel, and outsole Swoosh logos. With this re-release, Nike pays homage to Griffey's remarkable career and lasting influence on the sport.
