In November 2018, Kyrie Irving introduced the fifth version of his signature sneaker, created in partnership with Travis Bennett, also known as Taco from the popular hip-hop group Odd Future. The shoe features a simplistic woodland camo design that covers the majority of the upper, alongside a prominent oversized Swoosh that extends across the medial profile. For enhanced performance, the Kyrie 5 incorporates a high-traction rubber outsole with hints of orange accents on a black base. Inspired by the Venus flytrap, the shoe incorporates a innovative Flywire containment system that effectively secures the foot for optimal stability. Furthermore, the Kyrie 5 includes a newly designed Air Zoom Turbo unit that conforms to the curved shape of the outsole, providing lightweight cushioning. Completing the collaborative effort are the Taco and Kyrie logos on the tongue and insole.
