The Air Jordan 11 Retro 'Space Jam' initially debuted in 1995 when the Bulls competed against the Magic Johnson in a playoff series. However, it wasn't until the 1996 Space Jam movie that these sneakers gained their legendary status, as Michael Jordan wore them during the climactic final game against the Monstars. Although the official release of the 'Space Jams' colorway didn't occur until 2000, they were instantly sold out due to their immense popularity. As a result, retro versions of the 'Space Jams' were re-released in 2009 and 2016 to meet the continued demand.
