In January 2019, Vans released a collaboration with San Diego's Gym Standard label, showcasing two color variations including the LX 'Dusty Blue' iteration of the iconic Old Skool silhouette. This shoe effortlessly combines a range of upper materials such as canvas, nubuck, kidskin, and suede, resulting in a refined and textured aesthetic. To add a distinctive touch, a metallic gold sun is placed on the heel, followed by the Vans Originals bumper logo on the vulcanized sole. Originally, the shoe was packaged in a drawer box adorned with unique designs by Sergio Hernandez, the talented artist and owner of Pops Tattoo shop in San Diego.
