In November 2018, the Dover Street Market x Cortez Basic Nylon 'Varsity Red' was introduced in celebration of the opening of the retailer's Los Angeles store. Along with the classic Nike silhouette, this collaboration also launched in black and blue colorways. The design of the shoe draws inspiration from the original Cortez model, with a striking combination of a white nylon upper and tonal suede overlays. Adding a touch of contrast, a red leather Swoosh adorns the side. Additionally, on the left shoe, the heel tab features Nike branding, while the right shoe displays the Dover Street Market logo, giving a unique finishing touch to this exclusive release.
