The collaboration between J.W. Anderson and Converse has resulted in a unique sneaker called the J.W. Anderson x Converse Chuck 70 High 'Americana.' This sneaker beautifully combines the British label's non-binary aesthetic with the retro spirit of the iconic court shoe. Released in April 2019, the design challenges conventional ideas by featuring mismatched canvas uppers adorned with the iconic 'Stars and Bars' graphic and an all-over logo print. An interesting homage to the first edition is the metallic 1992 sketch detail found on the inside of the right shoe. Adding the finishing touches are the license plate heel badge and the Waffle outsole, giving this sneaker a truly distinctive look.
