In July 2019, Ronnie Fieg, the New York-based designer, extended his collaboration with Asics by introducing the Gel Kayano 5 'Oasis' sneaker. This particular edition of the shoe pays homage to the summer season. The sneaker features a mesh upper, which is adorned with layers of leather and textile, creating a visually appealing depth with vibrant pops of color. To highlight the partnership, co-branding details are intricately embroidered on the tongue and heel of the shoe. Drawing inspiration from the 90s era, the sneaker is equipped with a molded midsole that incorporates visible Gel technology, ensuring cushioning and support.
