ASICS Tiger, Pensole, and Foot Locker formed a partnership to collaborate on the design of the Gel-Diablo, with students from the Pensole Footwear Design Academy playing a key role. In a competition between six teams, the design titled 'Once Upon a Time in Kobe' emerged as the winning entry. Drawing inspiration from the textures found in koi fish and silk kimonos, the shoe features an exquisite blend of grey, navy, and sky blue tones. Crafted from high-quality leather and suede, the shoe showcases an embossed fish-scale pattern on the toe and heel. The insole displays a striking koi design that creates a captivating camouflage effect. Limited edition production of this remarkable shoe reached only 1,000 pairs.
