In 2018, Nike reintroduced the Air Max 97, a shoe inspired by the bullet train, in a sleek and minimalist Ultra Lux version. This particular version, showcased in a combination of white and black, showcases a revamped synthetic leather upper with notable additions of suede and reflective elements. The sole of the shoe has also been updated, featuring a retooled design with muted blue and green accents, along with injected Phylon cushioning and an improved Max Air sole unit for enhanced comfort and support.
