Adidas incorporates feedback from runners and community members to develop its Speedfactory AM line of running shoes, tailoring them to meet the unique performance needs of specific cities. In an effort to design the AM4TKY 'Tokyo' sneaker, the brand enlisted the assistance of local runners, photographer Rui Hashimoto, and global brand ambassador Mao Mitsui in 2018. The shoe features a customized fit thanks to digitally mapped tension patches in the knit upper, while a fused eyestay adds additional support. Furthermore, the upper is bonded to the Boost midsole for instant cushioning.
