What made the Air Jordan 1 appealing to skaters was its robust leather material, high ankle support, and the inclusion of Nike Air technology. Skaters embraced the idea of mismatched shoes, often painting them to achieve a uniform appearance and to prolong their lifespan. Taking inspiration from this do-it-yourself approach, the Lance Mountain x Air Jordan 1 Retro SB QS collection offers two colorways: black/red and black/royal. These shoes feature a layer of black paint that gradually rubs off with each trick, creating a distinctive design personalized to the skater. Limited in quantity, these sneakers were released in June 2014 as a two-pack, alongside a white paint-treated colorway.
