Nike initiated a program in 2003 in Portland, Oregon at the OHSU Doernbecher Foundation, granting children in the hospital the opportunity to craft their own Nike shoes. As a reflection of this endeavor, the Air Max 95 DB BG 'Doernbecher' was created. This sneaker showcases a white mesh upper with complementary leather accents, while the mudguard is adorned with eye-catching red patent detailing and a red leather toe box for enhanced structure. Additionally, the low top design incorporates an Air unit in the heel, ensuring responsive cushioning, and features blue wires to secure the lacing system. The side panel proudly displays gold lettering that serves as an inspirational message, reading “Be Brave”.
