Released in May 2018, the Wmns Air Max 1 'String' pays homage to its original 1987 runner design, featuring a combination of sandy neutral tones crafted with breathable mesh, synthetic leather, and suede materials. Inspired by a visit to Paris' Centre Pompidou, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, known for his architect background, ingeniously implemented an 'inside-out' construction notion from the building to introduce a visible Air Sole unit beneath the heel. Since then, numerous models and a vast array of color options have followed, continually expanding the iconic Air Max collection.
