In August 2018, a collaboration between Vans and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam resulted in the launch of a range of footwear and apparel. The collection showcased artwork from the renowned Dutch post-impressionist painter. One of the notable pieces from this collection is the Old Skool sneaker, which boasts a textile upper adorned with a print of a drawing completed by Van Gogh himself in France back in 1890. The drawing is titled "Old Vineyard with Peasant Woman". To maintain the authenticity of the design, only the subtle watercolors from the original artwork are replicated on the midsole of the shoe.
