In 1943, during winter, a flight took off from Foynes Air Base in County Limerick, Ireland, bound for Newfoundland, Canada. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions, it had to be turned back. As a gesture to console the disappointed passengers, Joe Sheridan, the head chef at the restaurant in the terminal building, decided to enhance their coffees with a splash of Irish whiskey, unwittingly introducing the world to Irish coffee for the first time. Fast forward to 2015, Saucony decided to pay homage to Sheridan's extraordinary creation by introducing the Irish Coffee Pack, consisting of three shoe models representing the three main components of the Irish coffee: coffee, whiskey, and cream. Within this pack, the Shadow 6000 Suede 'Irish Coffee' symbolizes the cream element with its elegant tonal cream Wolverine Silkee suede upper adorned with intricate perforated detailing. The shoe's appearance is further enhanced by a pristine white EVA midsole and a rugged triangular lug rubber outsole, making it a truly special and visually appealing shoe design.
