The Solebox x Shadow 5000 'Lucanid 2' released in 2014 as a limited edition collaboration between Solebox, a sneaker store in Berlin, and the Lucanid, commonly known as the stag beetle. This unique design takes inspiration from the beetle's distinct features, specifically the oversized mandibles, and incorporates them into the shoe's aesthetics. The focal point of the design is the grey horn-shaped panel on the toe box, which mimics the insect's mandibles and provides a striking contrast to the black suede, mesh, and leather materials used for the rest of the upper. Additional elements include a leather footbed with Solebox branding, a 3M reflective grey heel notch, and eye-catching bright green accents found on the upper eyelets, tongue branding, and lining.
