In July 2019, New Balance and Nonnative, a Japanese menswear label, joined forces to revamp the iconic 996 sneaker in a stunning six-pronged pack. This collaboration resulted in a sneaker that exudes a sense of nostalgia, with its tricolored hairy suede, leather, and textile materials, complemented by elastic tongue straps and a TPU heel clip. Notably, the signature 'N' patches on the sides have been replaced by logo embroidery. To further enhance the vintage aesthetic, the sneaker features a pre-yellowed Encap midsole and a rubber outsole detailed with concrete-like patterns.
