The Sock Dart was initially introduced in 2004 as a precursor to the popular Nike Flyknit. What sets it apart is its innovative circular knit upper, which was the first of its kind at the time. One notable collaboration that took place in 2015 was with fragment design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara, resulting in the creation of the Fragment Design x Sock Dart 'Obsidian'. This collaboration showcased a clean and uncomplicated design, with a navy knit upper and a translucent strap, resting on a molded white midsole. Notably, the fragment design branding is exclusively featured on the custom sockliner, keeping the overall design minimalistic and straightforward.
