Nike SB introduced the ‘What The Dunk?’ sneaker as part of their promotional campaign for the groundbreaking skate film “Nothing But the Truth”, which showcased the talents of the Nike SB Team Riders. This special edition shoe is a compilation of 31 different Nike SB Dunks, with each section being directly sourced from those Dunks, including panels, shoelaces, tongues, outsoles, and stitching. Among the 31 Dunks, only one component was unavailable for purchase by consumers, specifically the neon green lining on the left shoe, which originated from the legendary ‘eBay Dunk’ and remained a unique piece. While the ‘What The…’ concept has since been applied to other footwear, it was the Nike SB Dunk that pioneered this innovative approach.
