In July 2019, Nike introduced the Wmns M2K Tekno 'Desert Ore', featuring a unique combination of colors such as teal, 'Fuel Orange', and 'Deep Royal Blue'. This sneaker adopts a chunky silhouette and layered leather tooling, embodying the style of a 'Dad shoe'. Drawing inspiration from the Air Monarch of 2002, designer Jin Hong and his team made several enhancements to the M2K Tekno for its release in May, including a thicker tongue, narrower last, and TPU heel clip.
