In late 2017, SNKRROOM, a sneaker retailer based in New Jersey, collaborated with Nike to introduce two unique versions of the Kyrie 3 sneakers. These designs were specifically crafted as a tribute to all the mothers across the globe, an inspiring concept conceived by Suraj Kaufman, the owner of SNKRROOM. Kaufman, just like Kyrie, tragically lost his mother to cancer. One of the models showcases a prominent red rose on the quarter panel, accompanied by a lining inspired by a photograph of Irving's mother wearing a polka dot blouse. The customary Kyrie branding on the tongue has been thoughtfully altered to read 'Mom,' and one of the insoles bears the heartfelt inscription 'I love you mom.' Remarkably, when these sneakers were unveiled, all proceeds from their sales were generously donated to the Jersey City Medical Center.
