The gymnasium in Springfield, MA, where Dr. James Naismith invented basketball in 1891, no longer exists. As a result, the Trévise gym in Paris, France is now considered the world's oldest court. This gym was opened in 1893 and is recognized as the gateway of the sport into Europe. To honor its significance, a plaque has been placed on the premises, and this inscription has been replicated on the tongue of a unique Dunk Low shoe. In June 2018, Nike introduced the Dunk Low PRM QS Paris 'Elemental Gold,' which includes herringbone detailing and the iconic Trévise parquet flooring color scheme. Additionally, the Swoosh on the shoe is adorned with white stitches, reminiscent of the era's leather basketballs.
