The Nike Air VaporMax 'Doernbecher' sneaker is one of the six sneakers in a collection designed by six children. This limited edition shoe collaboration between Nike and the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital was released in November 2017. It was specifically designed by a 15-year-old named Andrew Merydith and features a vibrant Green Strike and Racer Blue Flyknit upper, which was inspired by Merydith's favorite BMX jersey. To add a personal touch, the sneaker includes custom detailing such as a custom-designed 'AM' logo on the tongue and #ILOVETHEFAM lettering on the midsole.
