In collaboration with The Basement, a London-based streetwear community, Nike unveiled the 'City Pack' consisting of three shoe models in October 2019. One of these models is dedicated to London and pays homage to the city's architectural and human diversity by incorporating a palette of five different shades of grey. The upper of the shoe is crafted from a combination of durable materials such as ripstop nylon, leather, suede, and synthetics. A particularly noteworthy detail is the transparent rendition of Nike's iconic Swoosh logo on the sidewall of the Air Max 90 silhouette. To allow for personal customization, the sneaker comes with additional Swooshes and lace sets. Keeping with the spirit of authenticity, the phrase 'Real People Do Real Things' is placed prominently on the insole, while the translucent outsole tread reveals the same text below it. Originally, this unique sneaker was exclusively available at select retailers in London as well as on Nike's popular SNEAKRS app.
