In April 2019, the Air Max 1 'On Air: Tokyo Maze' sneaker, crafted by Tokyo contest winner Yuta Takuman, was unveiled. This sneaker encompasses a monochromatic labyrinth leather upper, representing Tokyo's intricate subway network, alongside vibrant rainbow-colored laces. Additionally, Takuman pays tribute to the city's renowned Tokyo Tower through the inclusion of a visible red Max Air unit.
