Every year, Nike works together with patients from the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to design personalized footwear with the purpose of boosting morale and generating funds for the hospital. One remarkable collaboration from 2017 was the creation of the Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra ‘Doernbecher’, which was meticulously crafted by Brayden Sparkman during his battle against lymphoblastic leukemia. Taking inspiration from his deep passion for baseball, Brayden incorporated elements such as vibrant red stitching, his unique logo and nickname, along with the vibrant hues representing his beloved teams. This exceptional design not only serves as a symbol of Brayden's resilience but also as a testament to Nike's unwavering dedication towards supporting the cause and brightening the lives of the young patients at Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
