In 2011, Concepts and New Balance collaborated on a unique streetwear collection called the Concepts x 999 'The Kennedy'. Drawing inspiration from the Kennedy family's love for sailing in Hyannis Port, this collection showcases a maritime aesthetic. The sneakers boast a combination of beige, grey, and tan pigskin suede on the upper, complemented by a sail-like embossed nubuck detail on the heel counter. Not only do these shoes offer style, but they also provide comfort with the inclusion of an Abzorb crash pad in the sole unit. Adding an extra touch of authenticity, the tongue and sockliner feature nautical flags.
