The collaboration between Kith founder Ronnie Fieg and New Balance continues with the release of the 850 ‘Brooklyn Bridge’. This shoe pays homage to the iconic bridge by incorporating design elements that mimic its surroundings. The toe of the shoe is made from light blue micro-perforated nubuck, representing the gradient of the sky behind the bridge. The quarter panel showcases a darker blue oily pigskin, reminiscent of the bridge's structure. The heel features micro-perforated saddle leather, resembling the limestone construction of the bridge. The 'N' logos and leather tongue are accented with red hits, inspired by the flag at the top of the bridge. To further showcase the Brooklyn Bridge, the shoe includes custom-printed insoles with the schematics of the bridge, and a two-tone icy blue translucent outsole that represents the water of the East River. This shoe was released alongside a ‘Central Park’ colorway at Kith in November 2014.
