In 2008, the ‘Countdown Pack’ was introduced, featuring two shoes: the Air Jordan 16 and the Air Jordan 7. This was in anticipation of the release of the Air Jordan 23, and the numerical addition of the two shoes in each pack equaled 23. The AJ16 came in a sleek all-black design, with a patent leather upper and a leather shroud that covered the laces. It marked the revival of the original colorway. On the other hand, the AJ7 was a retroed version of the 1992 Hare Jordan OG, characterized by white leather overlays and eye-catching, nostalgic multicolored highlights. To add to its vintage appeal, the tongue featured old school Jordan branding.
