In 1990, Tinker Hatfield crafted four distinct color combinations, which would eventually serve as the foundation for the creation of the Air Jordan 5. One of these original colorways, however, remained unpublished and was supposed to be marketed alongside the other iconic color schemes. Nonetheless, it never reached the market. Fast forward to 2015, when Jordan Brand decided to revisit the forgotten Midnight Navy color scheme, now known as the 'Pre Grape.' Emphasizing breathability, the sneaker showcases synthetic perforated paneling on the midfoot, accompanied by a toggle lacing system, padded collar, and tongue for added comfort. Turquoise accents provide a striking contrast. Moreover, the mid top design integrates a partially encapsulated Air unit, ensuring optimal cushioning for wearers.
