The GmbH x ASICS Gel Kayano 5 OG, which was introduced in May 2019, is one of three designs in a collection that draws inspiration from the world of robotics, prosthetics, and orthopedics. The Lichen Rock version features a combination of materials in its upper, including transparent side stripes, different eyestays, and embroidered logos. To provide additional support and stability, a TPU flag is inserted into the backstay, while a gel-infused midsole and rubber outsole ensure optimal cushioning and traction for the sneaker.
