The adidas EQT original, initially introduced in 1993, drew inspiration from the historical event of the fall of the Berlin Wall, which brought about a significant cultural shift. As a response to the extravagant style of the 80s, the EQT original embraced a more simplistic and functional design approach. In July 2018, adidas released the EQT Bask ADV sneaker, which dutifully preserved the essence of the original by adopting a subdued all-black color scheme, accented only by a touch of red at the heel. Featuring a lightweight textile upper, the shoe is supported by an EVA midsole and a meticulously crafted rubber outsole, ensuring optimal comfort and durability.
